• How your votes choose Article Topics

Every community member is allocated 1 free vote each week (unused votes roll over to the next week) to be used to vote for your prefered future article topic. If there is an issue that is deeply important to you, you can increase your number of votes by donating to our worthy cause, and you will at once receive early bird access to the newest articles too. Please refer to our Donation page for more information.

Proposed article topics stay open for voting for 6 months. We tally the votes at the end of each week and elect one winning topic to be written, going live and accessible first to those with early bird access, before being available to all users six months from an article being written. Should your proposed article topic remain unelected in its first week, it will automatically be included in the next week’s voting and will keep rolling over into the following week for a total of 6 months months in a row, before eventually being removed from the proposed article topic list.

To maximise the chances of your article topic being voted for, why not accompany your article topic proposal with complementary media, photos, videos or data graphs.
