Campaign Summary: Glyphosate is classified as "probably carcinogenic in humans". Although glyphosate as pesticide is banned in organic food production, I think it is still applied as a pre-harvest processing aid on the back of the excuse there is no non-synthetic alternative available, which by the EU law allows the use of synthetic chemicals - practically meaning permitted in organic farming. Moreover, even if glyphosate is not used by the organic farm, it is likely to end up in organic food through contaminated soil and water. I propose Whatishealthy.info to conduct a set of tests of the most popular organic food brands.
